Recently I have been loving smoothie bowls. After seeing them nearly everywhere I decided it was about time I make one of my own.

For those of you who don't know, smoothie bowls are thick consistency and are a healthy version of ice cream/frozen yogurt. They are super easy to make and are perfect for a good start to the day. They are full of fruit and can also be accompanied by Acai Powder, or other powders. 

I have been making them by following this simple recipe:

1. Place 1 and a half bananas in the freezer overnight
2. Put the banana into a blender, along with 3 large strawberries and a tablespoon of Acai Powder (you can get it at any pharmacy or health store, e.g. Priceline)
3. Blend until thick, ice cream like constancy
4. Pour into a bowl and top with the other half of the banana, some more strawberries and optional muesli. 

And thats all! They are so healthy but so yummy at the same time.

    1. Hi Vanessa! Let me know how it goes! I really hope you like the recipe! Acai is a berry, and can be purchased in a powder form at any local health store/pharmacy. Acai is extremely good for you, so it was just something extra I put in. You can still make the smoothie bowl without it! x
